Lake Como engagement photography. A beautiful day that I have spent with Alice and Fabio.
Lake Como also serves as a setting for Alessandro Manzoni’s novel The Betrothed. This is definitely indicated seen the work I do, isn’t it?
That branch of the lake of Como, which extends towards the south, is enclosed by two unbroken chains of mountains, which, as they advance and recede, diversify its shores with numerous bays and inlets. Suddenly the lake contracts itself, and takes the course and form of a river, between a promontory on the right, and a wide open shore on the opposite side…
[Alessandro Manzoni – The Betrothed]
The village of Varenna, a small fishing village, is located about halfway down the eastern branch of Lake Como from its shores you can clearly see the Bellagio headland. The beautiful village is divided into a grid of narrow streets that descend steeply towards the lake, where the houses are reflected in the water like in certain areas of Liguria.
The heart of Varenna is the area of the village overlooking the lake, where there are residences with particular architectural interest, built between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Very impressive is the walk to the lake with stretches suspended over the water, called “walk of love”, which connects the old to the new harbor.
Engagement Photography Session
Alice and Fabio could not have chosen a more suitable place for their engagement session, they are just a wonderful couple, in love, happy, now close to their wedding day, it was a pleasure to photograph them. We went in search of the light which I love, but their spontaneity made the difference, thanks guys!
