Lake Iseo Engagement Session Montisola Christo Floating Piers
Alessandra and Alexander, a couple with the same name, so nice!
They have chosen Monte Isola as a background of their engagement session. This car-free island is apparently the biggest island within any European lake and is designated in its entirety as one of the most beautiful “villages” in Italy.
If you want to know why I love to photograph Engagement Sessions, take a look at this post:
Iseo Lake maybe is not the most famous of the Italian lakes, but it could be the most charming, little known outside Italy, Lake Iseo is smaller than Lake Como but considerably quieter and with fewer sun-blotched tourists. The lake is situated just north of the cities of Brescia and Bergamo, it is the unsung gem of northern Italy.
Only an hour’s train journey north-east of Milan brings travelers to Franciacorta, an area in the heart of Lombardy’s wine-growing region – and the gateway to Lake Iseo. The countryside surrounding the lake is dotted with immaculate vineyards, medieval castles, and monasteries.
Recently, the world knew artist Christo, an environmental sculptor noted for his controversial outdoor sculptures that force observers to confront questions regarding the nature of art, has made his latest work: The Floating Piers, take a look here.
This region is ideal for beautiful engagement sessions but also for your destination wedding in Italy, because of his awesome surroundings.
